Noble Captains Academy — The Future Begins Here

Noble Captains Academy (NCA) was founded in 2021 by Mr. & Mrs. Alex Obu-Simpson on land originally procured in 2015 for real estate development. After observing buses transporting children from the community to schools in other communities, the founders recognised the urgent need for a quality school right in Fetteh Kakraba.

Today, NCA offers Pre-School, Primary and Junior High School programmes to over 300 learners, running a hybrid of the Ghana Education Service curriculum and an international curriculum — providing the exposure our learners need to compete and succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Our Mission
To provide a conducive learning environment that enables learners to reach their full potential by building a solid foundation for their all-round intellectual, social, physical, moral and emotional development.
Our Vision
To become a leading basic-level educational institution in Ghana, recognised for holistic quality education comparable to those in prime communities across the country.
Our Motto
“The Future Begins Here”
R
Respect
A deep admiration for others based on their qualities, with due regard for their feelings, wishes and rights.
I
Integrity
Doing the right thing at all times, even when no one is watching — avoiding gossip and being kind and compassionate.

Service to others is the essence of life — sharing our talents and abilities in a way that is beneficial to their lives.
E

Striving to excel in every aspect of school life with a determination to succeed — because we are quality people.

Message from the Founder & Director

The beginning of the Noble Captains story is simple — we noticed a fleet of buses conveying learners from the community to other communities for school. It dawned on us that the actual need was not decent accommodation, but a school that would provide holistic and quality education comparable to those in prime communities such as Dansoman and East Legon.

— Alex Obu-Simpson, Founder & Director

The name “Noble Captains Academy” was inspired by Methodist Hymn Book 608 authored by Charles Wesley — our family hymn sung every time during family devotions and every special occasion. Our motto, “The Future Begins Here,” was inspired by the belief that the best time for new beginnings is now.

My philosophy of education is based on the belief that true learning can only happen through holistic development of the child. Children should have a goal to become creative and be inspired to make something impactful with the resources available to them. At Noble Captains, we recognise that innovation cannot occur without taking risks — therefore we teach our children to be resilient.

We are in a privileged position here in Big Apple, Fetteh Kakraba to create dreams and inspire excellence in our learners. We will continue to evolve and have fun while we create and inspire the next generation. The future indeed begins here.

Captain of Israel’s host, and guide of all who seek the land above, beneath your shadow we abide, the cloud of your protecting love — our strength, your grace; our rule, your word: our end, the glory of the Lord.

— Methodist Hymn Book 608 (Charles Wesley) — the school’s inspiration
